Mortgage Servicing Ratio (MSR)

Mortgage Servicing Ratio, or MSR, means that for HDB flats and executive condominiums, your monthly housing loan repayment cannot be more than 30% of your gross monthly income, whether you take an HDB loan or a bank loan. This rule is meant to keep repayments manageable.

If you earn money each month, MSR makes sure your home loan payment does not take up too much of it. That helps keep the loan more affordable.
