Housing Protection scheme (HPS)
DEFINITION
The Housing Protection Scheme, or HPS, is insurance that protects Central Provident Fund members and their families from losing their HDB flat if the insured person dies, becomes terminally ill, or suffers total permanent disability.

It is like a safety plan for a family home. If something very serious happens to the insured person, the family gets help so they may not lose the flat.
