Donee
DEFINITION
A donee is the person chosen by a donor in a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) to make decisions on the donor's behalf if the donor loses mental capacity. The donee is trusted to act in the donor's best interests and follow the wishes stated in the LPA.

If someone becomes unable to make important choices, the donee is the trusted person allowed to decide for them and look after their best interests.
